Welcome
Alex Russell Creative Services is a freelance design studio, based in the UK, with clients from all over the world. Hello there!

The studio offers a wide range of printed textile design, surface pattern, graphics, illustration and other creative services for fashion / apparel, interiors / home furnishing / lifestyle and editorial / publishing.

Alex Russell Creative Services has achieved an international client list with enthusiasm, professionalism and a unique blend of technical skill and creativity.

Alex is also a lecturer at Manchester School of Art. His research includes the Repeatless project, which explores generative design and digital fabric printing.

News (Last update 15 July 2010)
Exhibition:
The first fruits of my Repeatless work are currently on show as part of the "Power of Copying" show at the Xuzhou Museum of Art, China. These are two images made entirely with code - see them here and here.

Book:
I'm writing a textbook on contemporary printed textile / pattern design practice. It might be out in the spring of next year. I've also contributed to another forthcoming book, helping with a chapter on print. More when I know it.
Move:
I've moved again. Fingers crossed this will be the last move for a while. New address on the Contact page (correspondance only).
